The Process
Getting started with a complimentary 1,500 word sample edit
Your manuscript is precious; it’s important to make sure it’s in the right hands. If we have never worked together before, we will do a free 1,500 word sample edit. This is where we can each decide whether we are a good fit for each other.
Signing the contract
Once we’ve decided we’re a good fit, I will give you an estimate on how long I think it will take for me to complete your project, and we will confirm a start date. I will write up a contract, you’ll sign it and return it to me at your earliest convenience.
Booking your start date
Once I’ve received your signed contract, I will send a Paypal invoice with your booking fee, which is 50% of the cost of your project as agreed upon in the contract. I will confirm receipt of payment and confirm you’re in my schedule!
Keeping you updated
Throughout the duration of your edits, I will do my best to keep you up to date. However, as my method of working through your manuscript is nonlinear (I go through your manuscript several times from top to bottom, so even if I’m a certain percentage of the way through your book, it doesn’t necessarily represent how far I am in your edits as a whole), it will be difficult for me to answer questions about how far along I am. That being said, I will occasionally send comments, questions, and keep in touch. If you have any questions at any point, I’m also happy to answer!
